Round circle videos on WhatsApp

The circle command takes any short clip you attach and ships it as the round WhatsApp video bubble (the same UI used for video notes). Looks personal, plays inline, opens 2 to 3 times more often than a regular attachment.

Overview

WhatsApp's round video bubble is the format you see when someone records a short clip directly from their phone by holding the camera button. It's intimate, it autoloops in the chat preview, and it screams "real human on the other side" much louder than a regular video attachment.

With Wazzap you can deliver that same format from your CRM. Drop a video file, type circle in the message body and your customer receives the round bubble. Perfect for personalized intros, founder updates, story-style follow-ups and any moment where you want the message to feel hand-recorded.

Pre-record a few generic clips ("Hey, just wanted to follow up", "Quick question for you") and reuse them with the circle command across sub-accounts. Personal at zero marginal effort.

Command syntax

circle

(typed in the message field, together with the attached video file)

How it works

  1. Compose a new message in your CRM's Conversations tab.
  2. Attach the video file you want to send.
  3. In the message body, type only circle.
  4. Hit send. The video lands in WhatsApp as a round bubble with a play button.

Example

Message in CRM:

circle
(attached: welcome.mp4)

Result in WhatsApp:

  • The recipient sees the clip as a circular video bubble with a centered play button.
  • Tapping plays the video inline, just like a regular round video note.
  • Playback controls, mute, and forward all behave exactly like a normal video.

File requirements

  • A video file must be attached. Without it, the command is a no-op.
  • Square or near-square aspect ratios look best inside the circle. Tall vertical 9:16 also works, but the sides get cropped.
  • Keep clips under 30 seconds for the round-bubble feel. Longer videos technically send but lose the spontaneous vibe.
  • File size depends on your CRM integration. Most setups allow 15 to 20 MB. Always check your HighLevel integration limits.

Important notes

  1. Only works with videos. Images, audio and documents are ignored.
  2. The word must be exactly circle, lowercase, with no quotes or symbols.
  3. The file must respect your CRM's maximum upload size.
  4. The circle format is purely a visual change. The underlying video bytes are unchanged.
!

Send the command from the Conversations tab of your CRM, not the WhatsApp app on your phone. The phone app doesn't understand circle as a command.

Troubleshooting

The video arrives as a square attachment

The command wasn't applied. Check that you typed circle in lowercase, on its own line, with nothing else in the body. Stray punctuation breaks the match.

Nothing sends

The file is probably above the CRM's upload cap. Re-encode the video at 720p with a moderate bitrate (1 to 2 Mbps) and try again. Tools like HandBrake or ffmpeg do this in seconds.

The circle looks weirdly cropped

Tall vertical videos lose their left/right edges when forced into a round mask. If the content lives near the edges of the frame, re-export the clip with the subject centered or reframed to a 1:1 aspect ratio before uploading.

Combine with voice notes for a full "human follow-up" cadence: circle video first, voice note next day, text on day three.
